Senior Finance Manager

Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our Business Planning and Reporting Services team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a leading role in the University's budgeting and planning process, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to senior management and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the University's budgeting and planning process, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead the Corporate Reporting and Accounting Support team, providing guidance and support to team members to achieve excellence in financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop and implement effective financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring the University's financial performance is optimized.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the University to identify areas where financial outputs can add value and support the achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Provide advice and support to senior colleagues on financial matters, ensuring budgets are well constructed and financial plans are aligned with University strategy.
- Considerable experience of working within an accounting, planning and reporting environment of a large organization, including accurately interpreting complex financial data.
- A high level of competence in budget management, planning, forecasting and risk identification combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Stakeholder management, proven ability to articulate finance issues to key people within the business.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
