Salary
The estimated salary for this leadership role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position within our organization.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nuclear Medicine Therapist to lead our Therapy Department. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the safe running and management of Nuclear Medicine Therapy, ensuring the holistic needs of patients are met, and providing training and support to staff members. Your expertise in Radiation Protection, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Radiopharmacy will be essential in driving the success of our department.

Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective strategies for Radiation Protection and Waste Management.
• Collaborate with Radiopharmacy managers to optimize Radiopharmaceutical production and delivery.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Nuclear Medicine leadership team on departmental performance and progress.
• Ensure accurate and timely data capture for Radiation Protection, Trending, and Business Information.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff members, focusing on radiation safety and best practices.
• Participate in scientific problem-solving and troubleshooting issues within the department.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Medical Physics and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee the implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring they align with trust standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
For this role, you will need a BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific field, along with HCPC Radiographer registration or RCT registration for Nuclear Medicine or Radiotherapy. Leadership training and extensive senior work experience in Nuclear Medicine or Radiotherapy are also essential requirements.
