Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Leadership and Development Specialist to join our team at Vast Services: Investing in communities. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth and development of our volunteers, helping them to make a meaningful impact in the animal welfare sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, encouraging volunteers to work together towards common goals.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies for volunteer engagement, ensuring that all team members feel valued and supported.
  3. Work closely with the Branch Development Manager to plan and coordinate volunteer activities, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  4. Provide guidance and support to volunteers, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  6. Represent Vast Services: Investing in communities at external events and meetings, promoting our mission and values.


Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Strong communication and organizational skills are also essential, as well as a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to volunteering.

A competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum recognizes the importance of this role in our organization, which supports the growth and development of our volunteers.
