About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Design & Build projects across various sectors, including water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and environmental.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for projects and the community.
  • Develop and deliver mechanical designs for various projects, including site surveys and investigations, feasibility studies, and detailed design.
  • Produce technical specifications, pump sizing and hydraulic calculations, schedules, DEAR assessments, reports, and collaborate on design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Provide engineering input to collaborative design discussions, including technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
  • Assess existing site infrastructure to develop and deliver mechanical designs.

About You

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is Chartered or Incorporated with the IMechE (or working towards Chartership) with experience in mechanical design, ideally within the water industry.

You will have strong communication skills to give technical presentations to clients and other design engineers, as well as input into collaborative design discussions.

Requirements

  • Chartered or Incorporated with the IMechE (or working towards Chartership).
  • Experience in mechanical design, ideally within the water industry.
  • Strong communication skills to give technical presentations to clients and other design engineers.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to new challenges and changes in the work environment.
