The UK National Audit Office is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to support its Digital Financial Audit (DFA) team in delivering data-driven financial audit services.

As a key member of the DFA team, you will provide expert-level data analysis and interpretation skills to support financial audit teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality data acquisition and ingestion support for financial audit teams
  • Liaising with audited bodies to obtain financial data and streamline data acquisition processes
  • Dealing with complex data wrangling issues related to general ledger data and other financial data
  • Developing and delivering bespoke assurance-based analytics work to support financial audits
  • Training new team members on data analytics best practices

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A strong academic background and at least 2 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a financial audit context
  • Familiarity with software solutions such as Caseware IDEA, Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical documentation and articulate results to non-technical stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of core business processes and external audit methodology

Estimated salary: £41,117 - £48,520 per annum, depending on location and experience. We offer a hybrid working pattern based on a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.
