About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conservation Management Systems Specialist to join our team at Idox plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to clients, as well as developing and delivering training courses online and in-person.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the importance of rational, evidence-based and adaptive conservation management, and will have at least 1 year of experience in the management of conservation/amenity sites or similar experience related to the management of property, habitats or species.

You will be working within a small and supportive team, reporting to the Team Leader, and will have the opportunity to shape your role to suit your skill set. The position involves a range of activities, including software installations and upgrades, testing new software developments, and on-boarding new organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake software installations and upgrades at client sites across the UK
  • Test new software developments and handle communication between developers, project managers and clients
  • On-board new organisations, including data migrations from various formats and platforms
  • Develop and deliver training courses online and in-person
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients via phone, email, Teams and similar
  • Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of conservation management principles
  • At least 1 year of experience in conservation/amenity site management or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation and organisation
  • Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • UK driving licence
  • Well-developed ICT skills, particularly in GIS and databases applied to conservation
