Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara Foods. We've invested £4.7 million in state-of-the-art facilities and employ over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help supply some of the UK's largest supermarkets and popular restaurants.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR Team based at our Wednesbury site. As a key member of the team, you'll provide advice on employment law matters, ensure compliance with company policies, and support managers with HR-related tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and grievances.
• Support managers with absence management, including long-term sickness cases and health conditions.
• Manage maternity, paternity, and flexible working cases, as well as new starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
• Support managers with probationary review meetings and conduct exit interviews to identify trends.
• Assist with HR-related projects and respond to employee queries via phone and email.
• Collaborate with the Resourcing department and line managers to support interview processes and induction programmes.

What You'll Need

• Up-to-date experience using Microsoft Office and HR packages.
• Good working knowledge of employment law and CIPD qualifications (desirable).
• Experience working within a manufacturing or fast-paced organisation and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results.
• Results-oriented with emphasis on quality and teamwork.
• Methodical with attention to detail and ability to handle conflict effectively.
• Able to build effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
