We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent and comprehensive service in the administration of policy renewals and mid-term changes for our commercial insurance clients.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake market exercises to establish the most competitive terms available for our clients.
- Obtain renewal terms and present them to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty and ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover.
- Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process them effectively in line with service standards.
- Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on our systems and make effective use of our diary system.
- Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premium.
- Actively cross-sell products from other divisions to our clients.
- Must have experience working with commercial products within the insurance industry.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good negotiation and broking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to gather and analyze information from clients and respond appropriately to their level of understanding.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Certificate in Insurance (desirable).
