Machine Learning Engineer

The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our Product team in building a platform to optimize business outcomes. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing causal algorithms for time series and tabular data using Python, Cython, Numpy, Torch, and other technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement causal algorithms for time series and tabular data
- Collaborate with the Product team to design and develop the platform
- Work with data scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models into the platform
- Contribute to the development of the platform's feature engineering and machine learning capabilities
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning engineering
- Strong academic record (Msc, Meng, Ph.D. or PostDoc preferred)
- Advanced quantitative skills in machine learning/statistics/mathematics or similar fields
- Development experience in at least one scripting language (preferably Python)
- Ability to translate advanced machine learning algorithms into code
- In-depth understanding of computer architecture (preferably C, C++, Cython)
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (version control, tooling, testing, etc.)
- Highly capable, self-motivated, collaborative, and personable
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and drive
- Naturally curious, creative, and effective problem solver with the ability to come up with ideas to tackle problems on the cutting edge
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with a high level of business acumen
- Ability to effectively work independently in a fast-moving environment
