About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Jacobs Field Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing projects and tasks associated with our frameworks on the Sellafield Site in Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project scope documents for approval;
  • Produce and manage design requirements and specifications;
  • Provide 'cradle to grave' accountability for work packages, ensuring changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained;
  • Prioritize and organize project programs and schedules;
  • Coordinate the delivery of multi-discipline work packages, including engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities;
  • Attend regular project review meetings and provide input on team performance and costs;
  • Collaborate with technical leads and designers to produce and maintain project baselines (scope, cost, and schedules).
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering or management role, preferably in process and nuclear industries;
  • Experience in managing contracts for direct and subcontracted labor;
  • Leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to mentor and coach team members;
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work in a safe and sustainable manner, adhering to high professional standards and ensuring accountability for safety;
  • UK Citizenship and ability to acquire SC or DV Clearance.
