About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our Operational Performance Unit, you will be responsible for developing and executing projects and tasks associated with the Jacobs Field Solutions frameworks on the Sellafield Site in Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project scope documents for approval;
  • Produce Design Reference Files (DRFs) and Project Technical Files (PTFs) for approval, providing key constructability input to designs and ensuring designs meet scope document requirements;
  • Provide 'cradle to grave' accountability for work packages, ensuring all changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained;
  • Prioritize and organize project overarching programs;
  • Update project team programs;
  • Coordinate the delivery of multi-discipline work packages, including engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for Plant Areas or Systems through all phases of the project;
  • Attend monthly internal EAC reviews, providing input for team operations and costs;
  • Attend weekly CE/EWN meetings, providing detail on EWN and delays to tasks.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or equivalent experience within the industry;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering or management role, with a background in process and Nuclear advantageous;
  • Experience managing contracts for both direct and subcontracted labor;
  • Leading a Mechanical team within the Operational Performance Unit;
  • Providing facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and coaching to enhance team capability;
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work in a safe and sustainable manner, adhering to the highest professional standards;
  • UK Citizenship and ability to acquire SC or DV Clearance.
