We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Portfolio Manager to join our Change Team at McDonald's. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a central role in translating our business strategy into action and supporting its successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the prioritisation of projects within the organisation, defining project delivery governance and providing assistance and assurance through audits and health checks.
- Report on the portfolio to various audiences across the business, acting as the 'go-to' SME for our plans.
- Develop and maintain a deliverable, costed business plan that aligns with our strategy and translates into clear plans that everyone can understand.
- Define, implement, and run the project intake and prioritisation process, coaching stakeholders in the development of their ideas.
- Maintain the integrity of the portfolio by managing and preparing critical information for key forums, acting as a gatekeeper for these forums.
- Build and maintain relationships across the business and wider leadership team, managing trade-off and re-prioritisation conversations.
- Define and implement the process to support resource forecasting and eventually resource management across projects in the portfolio.
- Work with finance for effective investment governance for all projects in the portfolio.
- Report on the status of projects in the portfolio, with input from respective resources.
- Work with the Head of Project Delivery to educate Project Managers on the project management framework and their responsibilities.
- Provide assurance through ad-hoc project audits and health checks, recommending corrective action as required.
- Work with the Business Strategy and Insights Team to support the annual Phase Planning and Plan to Win process.
- Liaise with Technology to ensure the global tech roadmap is aligned with the market plan.
- Continually seek to improve processes and outputs of the team.
- Create a high-performing team, supporting individual development.
- Provide objectivity and friendly challenge to everything we do through a 'business change' lens.
We are looking for a senior change leadership expert with strategic and critical thinking skills, portfolio planning and PMO experience, and experience using digital tools to manage projects, programmes, and portfolios. You should be able to balance competing priorities, influence all levels, and challenge effectively where required. You should also have effective communication skills, storytelling experience, and a collaborative workstyle with the ability to engage and mobilise teams around common goals.
