About the Role

We are seeking a talented Merchandiser to join our growing team at MandM, one of Europe's leading online, off-price retailers. As a Merchandiser, you will play a key role in delivering a product offer that exceeds customers' expectations and achieves sales and profit targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the buying team to develop and implement product strategies that drive sales and profitability.
  • Plan and manage stock levels to optimize stock turn and minimize waste.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of product budgets, sales, profit, and stock targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow sales and profitability.
  • Agree and deliver trading plans to optimize sales and profit.
  • Manage product life cycles, working with the trading team to launch new products, track performance, and identify slow-moving products.
  • Develop a markdown strategy to reduce old stock, drive trade, and maximize profit.
  • Review and agree a financial framework for building a balanced, commercial, and profitable range.
  • Work with the Buyer to ensure the range is balanced across brands and products.
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused knowledge of the market and competition.
  • Review sales and stock forecasts regularly to ensure stock levels are managed in line with trade.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Coach and develop the team in technical and managerial skills.
About You

We are looking for a Merchandiser with:

  • Experience in merchandising within Fashion or footwear.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with an interest in product.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and drive confidence and buy-in to ideas.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work under pressure and at pace.
  • Ideal education to degree level in a fashion or business subject.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
