Overhead Line Equipment Technician

About the Role
As an Overhead Line Equipment Technician at Network Rail, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network. Our team of skilled technicians work together to maintain and repair the overhead lines that support our trains, ensuring that passengers can travel safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned works and respond to faults on the overhead line system
- Work at height in a MEWP to access and repair overhead lines
- Assist Overhead Operatives with their development and support Team Leaders in the delivery of planned work or fault response
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical knowledge and safety critical skills
Requirements
- Prior experience working within Overhead Line maintenance or construction
- A full clean driving licence
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Teamwork skills
- A strong safety ethic, including an ability to work at height
- Willingness and ability to work shift patterns, including daytime, evening, and weekend work
- The ability to undertake physical manual work outdoors, whatever the weather
- Willingness to undergo medical assessment and drug and alcohol testing
