About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' Ofsted-rated school in Edgware. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, assisting with their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide One-on-One Support: Assist students with SEN in their educational and personal development, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster a Supportive Environment: Create a nurturing learning environment that encourages students to thrive and reach their full potential.
  • Record Progress and Behaviour: Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • Passion for Working with Children: A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
