English Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

**About the Role**

Prospero Teaching is seeking an English graduate with a keen interest in education to join a secondary school in North London. The successful candidate will have excelled in English at both GCSE and A-level and hold a degree in an English-related field.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Support the class teacher and students during lessons
* Develop a rapport with students with specific needs and implement strategies to nurture, engage, and raise attainment in their secondary years
* Provide 1:1 English tuition sessions supporting your subject specialism
* Run intervention groups in your subject area to build students' knowledge of the subject

**What Support Will I Be Given?**

* You'll receive training, guidance, and support from an experienced consultant at Prospero and our Training and Development Team, as well as from the school itself
* A programme of FREE Training and CPD sessions are offered

**School Support**

* You will be provided with resources and strategies to support learners, behaviour management training, group and 1:1 training from qualified, experienced passionate staff

**English Graduate Teaching Assistant**

* Full-time school hours, 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday
* You will be required to run an after-school club once a week until 4.30pm and attend a departmental meeting once a week
* The role is paid weekly at a daily rate of £95 to £105 per day and can become a permanent post in the future
