Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker at The Mill, you will join a dedicated team focused on supporting 12 young people aged 16-21 who are at risk of homelessness, leaving care, or other vulnerabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing essential support and companionship to young people during out-of-hours periods, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop and implement personalized support plans, promoting the young people's independence and self-advocacy.
  • Engaging with young people in activities and exercises that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local authorities, healthcare providers, and other organizations to ensure seamless support for our service users.
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
