Infrastructure Systems Engineer

At Sharp Gaming, we are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT Infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure projects, including network connectivity and utilization, Windows server administration, virtualization, and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical support to our network and server infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist with planning and implementing infrastructure projects, creating project plans, designs, and implementing solutions.
  • Consult with other Technical Services Engineers to obtain technical expertise and act as a technical resource within identified business projects.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation relating to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration.
  • Act as a technical point of escalation to our Service Desk, ensuring that all incidents are promptly acknowledged and resolved in accordance with our Incident Management process and internal SLAs.
  • Undertake standard system administration duties, including server installation, system/application installation, and patch management, as well as Windows problem determination and resolution, log analysis, and more.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems, including network connectivity, traffic utilization, and more, using available network tools.
  • Provide infrastructure services in all areas needed, including storage networking, operating system, network security, directory services, server virtualization, system and network monitoring, application installation and configuration.
  • Adhere to our Project Management, Incident Management, and Change Management methodologies.
  • Provide input into Capacity Management, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Planning.
  • Identify and escalate improvements to the operational management of our server infrastructure, including the selection of suitable tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Windows 2003-2012, VMware, storage solutions, and hands-on experience with wired and wireless networking, PC and server virtualization software, virus protection, and backup systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.
  • Educated to A-level or equivalent, with Microsoft certifications.
