Job Title: Senior Civil Estimator

About the Role:

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our delivery framework, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates across a mix of clean and wastewater projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide estimating support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
  • Assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bids.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates and cost data.
  • Ensure where possible that supplier and subcontractor terms are back to back with client requirements and impact assess any deviations.
  • Responsible for prioritizing workload and supporting the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs.
  • Day-to-day liaison with and influencing of key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleagues.
  • Develop and implement changes to process, following understanding of a need to make changes to improve performance.
  • Travelling to sites to ascertain scope of works as and when required.

Requirements:
  • Preferably experience of delivering water and/or wastewater projects.
  • Strong understanding of estimating principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
