Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at a privately-owned civil engineering/groundworks contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating and preparing tender submissions for civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Estimating and preparing tender submissions for a range of civil engineering projects from first principles
* Working with commercial and procurement colleagues to identify sub-contractor packages, prepare enquiries, and interrogate returns to select suppliers
* Contributing to the risk review/assessment process where required
* Supporting and coaching more junior members of the team

Requirements:

* Experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator, preferably for a civil engineering/groundworks contractor
* Contractual and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand and interpret drawings and other construction information
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting, successful relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
