OXBO is a leading international solar developer, owner, and operator with an impressive 2.5GW+ pipeline of projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

This exciting opportunity presents a chance to join our team as a Senior Project Director for Solar Development. With projects at various stages of the planning and pre-planning process, the successful candidate will have a wide range of work to manage.

Job Description

The Senior Project Director will be responsible for driving development and closing transactions in a timely manner. This will involve coordinating different workstreams, including planning, PPA, technical, commercial engineering, procurement, legal, grid, and delivery. The role also requires building relationships with stakeholders, including DNOs, landowners, TA, EPC, ICP, and internal resource. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading meetings and communications to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Negotiating commercial terms that meet margin requirements
  • Providing regular updates and forecasting project cashflows in line with budget forecasts
  • Liaising with stakeholders to obtain information required for budget requests
  • Representing the company at community and company events
  • Providing line management to up to 1-2 staff members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong breadth of knowledge across the full solar development life cycle
  • Knowledge of Option to Lease/land rights agreements
  • Understanding of grid and relationships with UK DNOs
  • Project finance and financial modelling skills
  • Renewables industry experience and knowledge of energy and environmental issues in the UK and EU
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in solar development
  • A strong track record of closing deals and contracts
  • Experience in M&A is beneficial

Salary

We are offering a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
