Job Description

The position of a MEP BIM Technician has arisen at Tailored Talent Ltd, a multi-award winning building services contractor. The company specializes in the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated energy solutions across NI, UK & Europe.

We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Revit software to join our growing team. As a MEP BIM Technician, you will be responsible for designing and detailing offsite modular building services solutions using Revit models. Your role will involve developing drawings from Revit models ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing MEP architectural and structural elements are accurately represented.

Responsibilities

  • BIM modelling of prefabricated MEP solutions using Revit software to support project design, offsite manufacturing, and onsite installation processes.
  • Producing Navisworks models for internal and external model reviews and clash detection.
  • Creating MEP, fabrication, and construction assembly drawings.
  • Developing quantity take-off schedules from the BIM model for the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Collaborating with the offsite and onsite construction teams to produce site setting out drawing packages.
  • Enhancing day-to-day operation efficiencies by developing families, asset information, and other elements within Revit software.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A good understanding and knowledge of Autodesk Revit software.
  • A knowledge of building services, architecture, or structural design.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • A knowledge of steel, pipework, and piping systems would be beneficial.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
