Job Title: Education Solicitor - Specialist Advisor

About the Role:

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit an experienced Education Solicitor to join their team as a Specialist Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to clients in complex education law matters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Department Director and provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members
  • Assist with education law matters, including Special Education Needs (SEN) cases, school admission appeals, and adult social care issues
  • Manage a caseload of complex education law cases and ensure compliance with file management procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, guardians, and parents to provide comprehensive legal advice and support
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement effective solutions for clients' education and social needs

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Practicing Certificate and previous experience in education law
  • Proven supervisory experience and ability to work to key performance indicators
  • Excellent client care skills, communication skills, and ability to deal with complex practicalities
  • Strong networking skills and ability to generate new business
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment
  • Clear understanding and application of education law, including SEN matters and school admission appeals
