Job Title - Solicitor/Senior Solicitor (Education Law) - School Exclusions Clinic

Job Summary:

Coram, a leading children's charity, is seeking a highly skilled Solicitor/Senior Solicitor to join our Education Law team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the provision of legal advice, assistance, and representation provided by corporate volunteers in the School Exclusions Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the provision of legal advice, assistance, and representation provided by corporate volunteers in the School Exclusions Clinic.
  • Manage own case work relating to special educational needs and disabilities and discrimination law.
  • Deliver high-quality advice and client care, committed to children's human rights and supporting Coram's aims.
  • Collaborate with the Education Law team to develop and implement effective strategies to promote and protect the rights of children.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with experience of education law casework and/or related public law practice.
  • Strong understanding of education law and its application in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with corporate volunteers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and cases, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
