About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Engineering and Operations to join our team at 22 Bishopsgate. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering services, ensuring the smooth operation of our building's critical systems, and driving initiatives that align with our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the engineering team in managing and maintaining the building's critical systems, including Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) maintenance, vertical transportation, and building fabric.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of technical services, ensuring all services are delivered efficiently and within scope and budget.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to statutory compliance and health and safety regulations, mitigating operational risks, and managing change control processes.
  • Energy & Sustainability Management: Take charge of managing the building's energy performance, with a focus on sustainability, collaborating closely with SMART systems partners to optimize energy efficiency and lead initiatives that contribute to the building's sustainability goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Head of 22 Bishopsgate, JLL's property management team, and key stakeholders to develop and implement long-term strategies for continuous improvement in service delivery, operational cost control, and risk management.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Lead efforts to integrate sustainability into all aspects of building operations, supporting the Property & Asset Management (PAM) team in developing and managing the ESG Management Strategy.

Requirements:

  • Expertise: A degree in Engineering (preferably Chartered status) with a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and technical management.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams, with a track record of driving performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
