About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Five Wells, a category C prison located in Wellingborough. As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.
  • Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients.
  • Deliver non-judgmental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.

Requirements
  • Registered nurse Adult.
  • Current professional qualification (NMC).
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards.
