Job Summary:
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist to join its 24/7 open access mental health crisis service. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting individuals in mental health crisis and a strong background in developing specialist programs of care.

Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting telephone and face-to-face mental health assessments, providing brief clinical interventions and support, signposting, and referrals. They will also validate, de-escalate crisis situations, and coach individuals in distress tolerance and emotional regulation strategies. Additionally, they will supervise and support Mental Health Support Workers within the team, providing guidance and support.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in their field, supplemented by post-registration diploma-level specialist training or extensive experience. They will also have a Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessors training, as well as evidence of recent professional development. A non-Medical Prescriber qualification is also desirable. Experience at Practitioner Band 5 level, developing specialist programs of care, and providing highly specialist advice are essential. The ability to analyse data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word is also required.

Benefits:
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust offers a competitive salary range of £38,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience. The trust also provides a financial recruitment and retention premium worth over £3000 on this post. All reasonable flexible working requests will be considered.
