Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 depending on experience.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a Primary Care Finance Business Partner to join our team at Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide professional financial management services, ensuring that financial information is produced and reported in accordance with ICB requirements for both planning and performance management purposes.

You will be responsible for providing accurate, complete and timely periodic internal and external financial reports and monitoring returns. The post holder is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and demonstrate senior professional experience and standards.

The postholder will be responsible for managing and coordinating Delegated Primary Care & POD team resources. Providing overall professional leadership and management to all aspects of Primary Medical Care and the delegated POD allocations.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the NHS financial regime, acquired through equivalent experience or training. They will also have experience of national tariffs, assessing value for money opportunities and evaluating transformation projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrates the application of professional ethics, values, and judgement in support of the core values underpinning the Finance Department.
  • Able to manage highly confidential, complex, sensitive or contentious information in an appropriate and discreet manner.
  • Personal credibility and integrity, with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of others including clinicians, managers, and staff.
  • Ability to present complex and sensitive information to persuade Board and senior managers of the respective merits of different options.
  • Ability to deal with challenging situations in a formal setting.

The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant with considerable post qualification experience at a senior level. They will have significant post qualification experience in a financial management role at a senior management level and evidence of continuous professional development.
