About FundamentalVR
FundamentalVR is a pioneering company in the medical industry, revolutionizing surgical training and patient care through immersive VR technology. Our patented HapticVRTM platform enables surgeons to train anywhere in the world, without costly wet labs or animal testing.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead our medical VR training simulations, working closely with engineers, artists, medical, educational, and UI/UX designers. The ideal candidate will oversee all stages of development, collaborate with peers, and ensure a consistent FVR product.
- Oversee all stages of development across engineering, design, and art while collaborating with peers to ensure a consistent FVR product.
- Listen to stakeholders' needs and establish what they require.
- Own the vision and goals of the product and mirror the main user's experience.
- Work with the Client Success Manager (CSM) to understand and balance stakeholder priorities with business needs and manage expectations accordingly.
- Develop and nurture shared understanding of the vision within the development team to avoid out-of-sync situations.
- Assess value and prioritize user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure delivery of maximum value and alignment with the wider business product strategy.
- Be the primary information broker managing lines of communication between stakeholders and the development team.
- Consult on UX for Instructional Design and align the product's core design with stakeholder requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to produce a value-focused rather than feature-focused product while being diligent about feature creep.
- Devise and communicate roadmaps, backlog strategies, and prioritization plans to provide clear direction for the team and visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, raise, track, and mitigate risks to projects and successful completion of sprint goals and releases.
- Follow and advocate best practices such as Stages and Gates, coding standards, bug triaging, Scrum ceremonies, etc.
Your Background
We are looking for a demonstrable experience as a Product Owner/Producer/Lead Designer/Software Architect with successful delivery of products under Waterfall, PRINCE2 (Stages and Gates), and Agile frameworks. You should be well-versed in managing budgets, balancing expectations, and aligning workloads. Previous experience with 3D development pipelines and Unity Engine is also required. Additionally, you should have a degree in Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, and a deep inclination for research and learning in MedTech.
You Will Get
As a member of our team, you will enjoy AXA Health insurance, Death in Service benefits, WFH Benefit £250 per annum, 25 days holiday (including 3 between Christmas and New Year) + bank holidays, unlimited drinks fridge in the office, and discounts on retailers and gym memberships.
