Key Responsibilities:

An exceptional opportunity is presented for a Water Resource Management Specialist to become a vital member of the Flood and Water Management division at Hampshire County Council. This division operates under the Universal Services Directorate, engaging with multiple departments to meet Hampshire's statutory planning obligations, manage land drainage consent applications, investigate flooding occurrences, and formulate Flood Management Strategies.

The selected individual will be responsible for evaluating significant planning applications, offering technical advice to the team, collaborating on water-related challenges, and effectively communicating Flood and Water Management recommendations through various platforms.

Ideal candidates will possess a robust technical foundation in Flood and Water Management, experience in executing flood risk evaluations, familiarity with the planning framework, understanding of local government processes, exceptional communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning.
