Job Title: Advanced Specialist Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Specialist Pharmacist to lead our Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering advanced specialist clinical pharmacy services to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, with experience of working in a similar role. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services, including the provision of expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals. You will also be responsible for supervising and training junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services, including the provision of expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and train junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist.
  • Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a similar role, with a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
