Vessel Support Specialist

As a Trainee Ships Agent at Aspion, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our shipping business. This involves assisting with vessel arrivals and departures, liaising with port authorities and shipping companies, and acting as a point of contact for ship owners and cargo interests. You will also contribute to onboarding and training new staff, assist with inventory control and cargo management, and perform general office duties. To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive, customer-focused, and possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate vessel movements and ensure regulatory compliance. • Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure efficient cargo handling. • Provide exceptional customer service to ship owners and cargo interests. • Assist with staff onboarding and training. • Manage day-to-day office operations. • Ensure compliance with EHS policies. • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be proactive, customer-focused, and possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. Estimated annual salary: £40,000 - £55,000 depending on location and experience.
