Multi Skilled Engineer Opportunity

Scantec Recruitment is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in North Lanarkshire to find a highly skilled engineer to join their team. As a multi skilled engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum plant availability while maintaining exceptionally high factory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve electrical and mechanical plant failures as required
  • Comply with safe working practices at all times and report any safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager
  • Complete PPM according to the schedule and as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Complete line change-overs as efficiently as possible according to the production plan
  • Work closely with the hygiene team to strip and re-build plant to allow access for cleaning purposes
  • Assist in the compiling of and the completion of Engineering work requests in a timely manner
  • Assist as appropriate with the design, installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Complete improvement projects on new and existing plant as directed by the Maintenance manager
  • Compile downtime reports post plant breakdowns
  • Complete hand-over documentation daily from shift to shift

Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced engineer with the appropriate electrical engineering qualifications (HND, HNC or equivalent). Preferably trained on 17th or 18th Edition wiring regs (although this is not essential). Ideally you will be from a food or FMCG manufacturing background with good analytical and root cause analysis skills.
