About the RoleThe Benjamin Edwards Group is recruiting for a Financial Management Specialist to support the senior finance leadership team in all areas of financial management. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of UK management accounts, including board packs with analysis of variances.
Key Responsibilities- Intercompany accounting transactions
- Identifying and driving areas of continuous improvement and efficiency with a focus on optimum use of systems and technology
- Timely and accurate preparation of UK management accounts, including board pack with analysis of variances
- Submit quarterly VAT returns and provide guidance on VAT matters
- Preparation of information to complete annual compliance, i.e., statutory accounts, tax computations
- Preparation of product margin analysis and evaluation
- Preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts, and cash flows
- Review of weekly payment runs
- Development of costing models leading to improved operational performance and increased profitability
- Support stock control as well as stock management policies and procedures and physical stock checks
- Managing and mentoring direct reports
- Ownership of the finance system
- Use of Xero
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA part or fully qualified
- Strong commercial acumen
- Broad all-round experience, including transactional finance, team management, VAT, and systems
