Job Summary

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of safety inspections, attending multiple sites to oversee, monitor and evaluate health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections on various construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support site teams on all health and safety aspects, providing guidance and expertise to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Review and implement safe systems of work, ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and report findings, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex health and safety information to employees at all levels.
  • Technical knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors.
  • IT literacy, with proficient report-writing skills and the ability to analyze data and present findings.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction qualification, or equivalent.
  • CSCS Professional card.
  • First aid training.
