Role Overview

The Turner & Townsend Group is a leading professional services company that delivers better outcomes for our clients. As a Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals by ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our Yorkshire-based Infrastructure, Project Controls team. The successful candidate will work on various infrastructure projects across different sectors, including energy, defence, rail, airports, highways, water, and utilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines with cost and planning engineers.
  • Producing project control reports to monitor and control project progress.
  • Providing performance analysis and recommendations to our clients.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of best practice planning principles and understanding of project and business objectives.
  • Working knowledge of planning systems such as Primavera, Project Online, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
  • Assurance reviews to ensure schedules are of high quality, evidenced by using Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
  • Effective schedule monitoring and control, baseline management, and variance reporting.
  • Evaluation of project status through chairing weekly meetings, progress reporting, and making recommendations.

About You
You should have previous experience working in a project controls environment within the infrastructure sector and be familiar with at least one of the following: Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, and/or PMO. In addition, you should have demonstrable knowledge of best practice planning principles, understanding of project and business objectives, and translation of how a client-specific life cycle or procurement strategy may impact the plan. Your salary will be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
