Vacancy for Records Manager at Digital Preservation Coalition

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Records Manager to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing records and information management services, championing a culture of good information management, and supporting the development and implementation of related policies and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on records management issues
  • Support the development of appraisal criteria and implementation of the UKRI retention schedule
  • Manage electronic records in EDRM systems, including file plan maintenance, user accounts, and access privileges
  • Oversee the records lifecycle, including review, appraisal, destruction, and transfer
  • Contribute to the development of procedures and workflows for accession, description, and preservation of electronic records
  • Prepare selected material for transfer to the National Archives
  • Deliver records management user training and awareness programs
  • Support the review and implementation of retention and disposal policies
  • Provide input to the update of policies and guidance
  • Assist with the management of off-site records storage contracts

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of records management principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
