Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Visiting Music Teacher (VMT) to join our team at Inspired Education Group. As a Singing Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching singing lessons to pupils of all levels, providing individual music instruction, and encouraging performance opportunities and participation in ensembles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proper supervision of pupils during lessons and ensure compliance with the School's standards of conduct and behavior.
  • Record and maintain a register using SOCS.
  • Provide written reports on pupil progress at least once a year.
  • Observe and adhere to the School's policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils across the age and ability range.
  • Ability to relate well to young people.
  • Ability to build pupils' musicianship, technique, and confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Effective IT skills.
  • Excellent teaching skills and knowledge.
  • An accomplished singer with relevant qualifications and/or professional experience.
  • Experience of teaching instrumental music lessons to prep school age pupils.
  • Knowledge of the ABRSM and other examining boards.
