Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding primary school in East London. In this rewarding role, you will support two Year 3 learners with special educational needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored academic support to two Year 3 students, ensuring they achieve their potential.
  • Delivering intervention strategies to enhance learning and development.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement effective learning plans.
  • Encouraging and assisting with the social and emotional growth of students in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Requirements:

  • A Psychology degree or a similar qualification.
  • A passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
