Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our client based in the Medway area.

Candidates suited to this role will have worked with predominantly electrical estimating, however need to be familiar with mechanical estimating and will need to lead an electrical estimating team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review specifications, drawings and other relevant documentation
  • Prepare accurate pricing estimates, including labour, materials, subcontract items
  • Determine the type, quantity and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each project

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a team of estimators
  • Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial projects
  • Ability to read tender specifications, drawings and produce detailed pricing cost plans
  • Strong communication skills for presenting tenders to clients and liaising with them through each step of the project
