Electrical Engineer Job Description

Ramboll is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Americas. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our Electrical Group, working on a wide range of projects in the municipal, industrial, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and update electrical designs for medium to large process-related projects.
  • Prepare technical reports to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.
  • Support the preparation of engineering proposals and fee estimates for targeted clients.
  • Provide engineering support for construction projects, including cost estimating, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
  • Train and mentor early career employees.
  • Participate in the quality review process of work products developed by others.
  • Establish relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals, and expand networks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the engineering/design field.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
  • Practical experience with engineering calculations (Short Circuit, Overcurrent Protection Coordination, and ArcFlash) utilizing computer modeling software.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Practical experience with Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Practical experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar.

The compensation for this role in NY State is $91,317.
