Job Overview
This Asphalt Plant Operator position at Shap reports to the Quarry Manager and is crucial to our operations. Key responsibilities include batching asphalt, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Duties
  • Batch asphalt and conduct routine maintenance tasks on the asphalt plant.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including loading shovels and weighbridges, following established safety protocols.
  • Assist with day-to-day site operations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior experience working in an asphalt plant setting is beneficial.
  • A commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in your work approach.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations effectively.
  • Please note: Some night shifts may be required.

Compensation Package
  • A competitive estimated salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per year, based on experience.
