We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair procedures on light and heavy goods vehicles
- Use personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair
- Access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops
- Work on a flexible shift rota, including Saturdays
- Qualified mechanic with IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent
- Varied vehicle experience, including LCV and HGV
- Valid UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience
- High working standards and ability to work independently
- Competitive salary and shift allowance
- Additional weekend supplement on Saturday
- Welcome bonus of £1,500
- 22.5 days annual holiday, rising with service
