Fire Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Essex and Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with British and European standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
- Servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Respond to emergency callouts and carry out any remedial works as required, demonstrating professionalism and dedication to duty.
- Conduct asset verification and implement necessary actions to maintain accurate records.
- Install replacement or additional equipment as needed, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to clients and colleagues alike.
- Conduct site surveys as required, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to prevent future problems.
- Support the development of apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Prior experience in fire maintenance, with a strong understanding of British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.
- FIA units (1,3,5) and a valid driving license, enabling you to travel efficiently between sites.
- A basic salary of £34,000 - £38,000 per annum, with opportunities for overtime and standby pay, leading to a realistic OTE of £50,000- £65,000.
- 28 days holiday (including statutory holidays) increasing by one day for each full year completed, up to a maximum of 25 days.
