Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Rig Energy team on a fixed-term contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the profitability of the Cargo Line of Business by underwriting and processing new business, renewals, and midterm adjustments. You will also monitor rate adequacy and ensure that business is written in accordance with our policies, procedures, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the profitability of the Cargo Line of Business by underwriting and processing new business, renewals, and midterm adjustments.
  2. Monitor rate adequacy and ensure that business is written in accordance with our policies, procedures, and controls.
  3. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Agents, Brokers, and Customers to promote Travelers' Line of Business, distribution strategy, and philosophy.
  4. Provide guidance on our underwriting philosophy, procedures, and requirements.
  5. Stay up-to-date with market factors and world affairs to identify new opportunities and promote our business.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of industry business operations and work methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in Analytical Thinking and Financial Acumen.
