Job Title: Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer

We invite you to bring your expertise in mechanical building services engineering and your passion for innovative design solutions to our growing team at Ramboll.



In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of sustainable, zero-carbon advisory services and design solutions for mechanical building services systems in the UK healthcare sector.



To succeed in this role, you must be confident facing clients and have excellent working knowledge of the delivery of Hospital/Healthcare projects as well as their mechanical building services installations.



Candidates should have achieved or have qualifications which will lead to MCIBSE or MIHEEM or MIMechE accreditation; candidates should also have a thorough understanding of digital design tools appropriate to the role, including delivery through Revit/BIM 360.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Work under limited supervision on larger projects as part of a larger team
  • Work on your own smaller scale projects
  • Manage your own time to ensure time spent on projects suits deadlines
  • Complete detailed designs to the required standards and supervise the work of graduate engineers and apprentices
  • Complete design calculations utilising industry standard software such as Hevacomp, MagiCad, IES, and Revit
  • Actively engage with existing and potential clients through social media to promote Ramboll and our initiatives

Appropriate to the seniority of the role applied for, your key tasks and responsibilities will be:




  • Deliver advisory and design solutions to the healthcare sector, focussing mainly on regional and national opportunities but also on international ones
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, zero-carbon advisory services and design solutions for mechanical building services systems
  • Supervise the work of graduate engineers and apprentices and complete detailed designs to the required standards
  • Engage with existing and potential clients through social media to promote Ramboll and our initiatives
