PRS is a global property and real estate organisation, managing high-profile commercial buildings across London. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Building Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our iconic skyscrapers. We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our multi-skilled team responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across Landlord and Tenant areas.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package totaling £54,500 per annum, comprising a basic salary of £47,500 and a shift allowance of £7,000. Our attractive benefits package includes an annual bonus, private healthcare, a generous pension scheme, and 26 shift days holiday. With engineers providing cover for each other, this guarantees 26 shifts of overtime. There is also a healthy budget for professional development through engineering training courses.

About the Role

You will be working on a 24/7 continental shift pattern, rotating between 12-hour day and night shifts, and reporting to both shift leads and engineering management. This position offers excellent opportunities for career progression, including future shift leader positions. You will work at one of our highest-profile commercial towers with excellent transport links into Greater London, making this an opportunity not to be missed for an experienced and ambitious mechanical engineer keen to move into a client-direct role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fully qualified in mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship.
  • At least three years of dedicated experience in commercial facilities management as a shift engineer, preferably in a corporate environment such as skyscrapers or financial services HQs.
  • Core mechanical qualifications are required; additional training in M&E / Building Services is beneficial (e.g., Mechanical / Pressure Vessel / Legionella AP, L8, F-Gas, Cooling Towers).

We require candidates with strong technical skills, including electrical and mechanical fault-finding, pumps, air handling and fan coil units, chilled beams, VAV/VRFs, 1st line chiller and boilers, BMS operation, lighting and power, emergency lighting, and fire alarm tests. Your ability to work effectively in a team and provide excellent customer service will be essential in this role.
