About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing medicines optimisation strategies across the network, working closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective prescribing practices. This includes identifying areas for improvement, conducting audits, and providing education and training to practice staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement medicines optimisation strategies across the network, ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices.
  • To conduct audits and reviews of prescribing practices, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change.
  • To provide education and training to practice staff on medicines optimisation, including best practices and guidelines.
  • To work closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to promote safe and effective prescribing practices.
  • To monitor and report on prescribing trends and patterns, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist with expertise in medicines optimisation. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institution.Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.Diploma/MSc in Prescribing Sciences/Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy practice or equivalent clinical experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, including:

An estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.The opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality patient care.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time role, with a 37-hour working week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
