This includes identifying areas for improvement, conducting audits, and providing education and training to practice staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement medicines optimisation strategies across the network, ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices.
- To conduct audits and reviews of prescribing practices, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change.
- To provide education and training to practice staff on medicines optimisation, including best practices and guidelines.
- To work closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to promote safe and effective prescribing practices.
- To monitor and report on prescribing trends and patterns, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for change.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist with expertise in medicines optimisation. The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institution.Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.Diploma/MSc in Prescribing Sciences/Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy practice or equivalent clinical experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, including:
An estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.The opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality patient care.Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time role, with a 37-hour working week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
