Job Summary:

Hunter Selection is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer - Structural Design to join our client's team in Exeter. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for working on a variety of design projects, from extensions and restoration work on historic buildings to design works on residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop structural solutions for a range of projects, including residential and commercial properties
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate specifications
  • Conduct site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and produce reports
  • Carry out surveys and provide quotations and proposals directly to customers
  • Collaborate with the design team to deliver high-quality designs and meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum four years of experience as a Structural Design Engineer in the UK
  • Chartered Structural Engineer or near chartered status
  • Working knowledge of structural timber and UK regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
