Job Summary

Central London Community Health Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Lead to join our Adult Community Services team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of community nurses and other staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position, and you will be working closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experiences. You will be responsible for managing a defined caseload, ensuring accurate nursing records, and participating in public health initiatives. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with other teams within Adult Community Services and other providers to ensure optimum patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management to a team of community nurses and other staff
  • Manage a defined caseload and ensure accurate nursing records
  • Participate in public health initiatives and promote good health
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within Adult Community Services and other providers
  • Undertake non-medical prescribing and maintain own competence in this area
  • Follow Trust procedures concerning vulnerable Adults and Children
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in management and leadership, as well as a strong understanding of recent developments in the NHS and evidence-based practice. You should have a proven track record of teaching others, managing change within a complex environment, and participating in clinical audits. You should also have a First Level Degree and be an Independent Prescriber. Relevant courses in Long Term Conditions Management and Top to Toe examination/diagnosis experience are desirable.
